Presenting Our Members: Mountaineering Federation of North Macedonia
We are excited to present the Mountaineering Federation of North Macedonia (FPSM), a valued member of EUMA since 2017.
Why did the Mountaineering Federation of North Macedonia join EUMA?
The Mountaineering Federation of North Macedonia played a crucial role in establishing EUMA, joining 36 other European mountaineering associations to strengthen ties with the broader European mountaineering community. Their decision to join was driven by the desire to:

Access and Host International Events: Enabling Macedonian mountaineers to participate in competitions and training programs, while also hosting events and welcoming mountaineers from across Europe.
Promote Tourism and Gain International Recognition: Increasing visibility for North Macedonia’s mountains, attracting tourists, and boosting the local economy.
Support Infrastructure Development: Benefiting from financial resources and strategic support for mountaineering projects and environmental initiatives.
By joining EUMA, the Federation strengthens its role in the European mountaineering landscape, advancing both the sport and nature conservation.
