FLERA – Let us introduce our new member

The EUMA welcomes its new member organization from Luxembourg
– Fédération Luxembourgeoise d’Escalade, de Randonnée Sportive et d’Alpinisme –
Luxembourg Federation, Climbing, Rambling and Alpinism (FLERA).

The FLERA is the umbrella organization for 12 climbing, mountaineering and alpine clubs in Luxembourg.

In total they have 613 individual members running 3 indoor climbing gyms and taking care about the unique outdoor sandstone climbing area in Berdorf, with 120 routes. They are a member of the COSAL, UIAA and IFSC and mainly active in the field of sport climbing and bouldering.

FLERA (flera.lu) has been founded in 2000 and represents the climbing, hiking, rambling and mountaineering community in Luxemburg. Luxembourg has a climbing and mountaineering history starting in 1955 when the Luxembourg Alpine Club (gal.lu) had been founded and is mainly known for its Wanterbaach crag located in the small village of Berdorf.
