EUMA GENERAL ASSEMBLY 2019 (report)

The 2019 EUMA General Assembly, hosted by Cyprus Mountaineering Climbing & Orienteering Federation, was held in Larnaca, Cyprus, on Sunday 3 November with delegates from 18 countries and 20 associations present. After welcome the delegates, the President Roland Stierle expresses his thanks to Pavlos Georgiades, President of the hosting organization CMCOF and offer greetings to Frits Vrijlandt (UIAA), Hank Hwang (UAAA) and Trommsdorff (IFGMA). The meeting run with the annual report, 2018, of the activities done, the Annual Financial Report and the Report of Auditors. 

 The President present an interint report from the activities ongoing during 2019 and the Erasmus + Project granted and ready to run on January 2020. The treasuer, Jan Bloudek, and Bojan Rotovnik presented the strategy and mid-term plan for the organization (as announced in Brussels) and the situation of the membership fees to attend that strategy. That new membership fees and 2020 budget were approval. A new member from Bosnia and Herzegovina was welcome, the Mountaineering Union of Federation Bosnia and Herzegovina, PSBIH. As collaborating member was accepted the Club Arc Alpine, CAA.

 The Assembly decided to establish a Working Group to study the Seat of the organization (linked with Tax reports, administration process, location of the office and best moment of EUMA GA’s), a new membership fees sistem and concrete the Bylaws sistem (with a list of European countries following the UE criteria). DAV presented their initiative for a CO2 reduction plan. Information from the European Solidarity Coprs, a new CAI Trail and a resolution from the Austrian Mountaineering Association against the planes Ski resort in the Öztzal Alps was shared.
